V-8 Beef Stew

- 2 pounds stewing beef, browned and drained
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 large can V-8 vegetable juice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 4 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 large can diced tomatoes (do not drain)
- 1 can (8 ounce size) tomato sauce
- 2 medium potatoes, sliced
- 3 large carrots, sliced
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1 large yellow squash, sliced
Add all ingredients to large pot and bring to slow boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer gently until the meat and all the vegetables are tender, approximately 2 hours.
