1 16oz can chick peas drained and rinsed
2 cloves garlic
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablesppon olive oil
1 tablespoon water
1 medium peeled and pitted
avocado,
2 Tbsp. lime juice,
1/2 tsp. onion powder or 2 Tbsp. chopped red onion,
1 cup loosely packed cilantro leaves,
1 Tbsp. diced and seeded jalapeno,
Drain chickpeas
Combine ingredients in blender or food processor.
blend for 3-5 minutes on low until thoroughly mixed and smooth. Add another spoon of water, if too thick.
Serve immediately with fresh, warm or toasted pita bread, or cover and refrigerate.
We bought this at Trader Joe's and it was so good.
