  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup fresh chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 can (28 ounce size) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (28 ounce size) pureed tomatoes

Saute onions and garlic in olive oil until onions are translucent. Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.
