Best Beef Rouladen: Ing. 8 slices of top round or other lean beef cut into 1/4" slices about 3 x5". 1/2 cup diced onion, 3 dill pickles sliced thin, 1/4 cup mustard of your choice, 8 slices lean double smoked bacon,salt and pepper.. Method: Place beef on a sheet of parchment paper and pound until tender. Spread mustard over entire surface and then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Lay down lengthwise, 3 slices of pickle,2 slices of bacon. Roll tight and place in a baking dish of a suitable size that the rolls will be tight. Cover with foil and bake at 350 until rolls are browned. Drain and make a gravy of the juice which is delicious and serve with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh green beans or the vegy of your choice.
