Peas with Mushrooms, Bacon and Cream

1/2 lb. mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
1 tbsp. finely minced shallots
4 tbsps. butter
2 10 oz. pkgs. frozen peas
1/2 cup cream
8 slices bacon, cooked crisp, drained and crumbled
salt and pepper to taste

Saute mushrooms and shallots in butter until mushrooms are tender. add peas and cream and continue cooking until peas are tender. Add bacon and seasonings and toss. Heat through and serve.
Serves 8.
