  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 3 1/2 cups monterey jack cheese shredded
  • 1 can (4 ounce size) green chiles
  • 1 can (2.5 ounce size) black olives, sliced
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced

Cut tortillas into one inch strips and set aside.

Beat sour cream, egg, and milk together.

In a 3 quart casserole, layer 1/3 of tortilla strips, 1 cup monterey jack cheese, 1/3 of chiles, olives, onions, then 1/3 sour cream mixture. Repeat with two more layers.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese and return to oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese melts.
