1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1 15 oz.can Italian Diced tomatoes
1 12oz.can Tomato sauce
1 small can tomato paste
1 medium onion, chopped
1 large stalk of celery, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, chopped fine
1 15oz.can of black olives
2 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. Italian seasonings
1 Tbsp. Brown sugar
1 container of Cottage cheese
spaghetti noodles, enough to serve 4-6 people.
Directions
1. In a medium sauce pan, combine the diced tomatoes,tomato sauce and tomato paste.
2. Cover with a lid and bring to a simmer.
3. In skillet, saute the onion,garlic and celery, til they are soft.
4. Add them to the sauce.
5. Add the seasonings and salt and pepper to your liking.
6. Brown the ground chuck in same skillet til no longer pink.
7. Add meat to sauce.
8. Lastly, I chop up the olives and add them to the sauce.
9. Let sauce simmer on low for 3 hrs.
10. 30 minutes before sauce is done,add the brown sugar and stir.
11. Boil noodles per the instructions on packaging.
12. Serve with sauce and a little Cottage cheese on top. It's delicious!!
