Serves/Makes: 24
Ready in: 30-60 minutes
- 1/2 cup powdered milk
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons leftover gravy
- 1 jar (4 ounce size) baby food meat or chicken
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all the ingredients and mix well until a dough forms. Adjust the consistency as needed with additional flour or gravy. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out shapes using a cookie cutter or knife. Place the cookies on a cookie sheet. Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 minutes or until firm and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack. Store the dog cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week. Cook's Notes: Make sure the gravy and baby food do not have any onion in them.
