Spiced Rum and Brown Sugar Glaze

Ingredients

Orange Juice 2/3 Cup
Spiced Rum 1/3 Cup
Packed Brown Sugar 3/4 Cup
Ground Ginger 1/2 tsp
Cornstarch Slurry 1 TB

Method

1. In a 2 Quart Sauce pan, combine the orange juice, spiced rum, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon.

2. Bring mixture to a boil and then turn down to a simmer.

3. Allow alcohol to cook out of the glaze.

4. Taste for flavor, adjust to your taste.

5. Stir in cornstarch slurry, allow to thicken and remove from heat.

NOTE: This glaze is a great accompaniment to fall and winter squashes. Especially acorn and butternut.
