2 1 /2 quarts apple cider
5 Tbsp suar
1 /4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground allspice
2 cups light rum
stick cinnamon
butter
Heat first four ingredients in a large non aluminum pan. Just before serving, add rum. To serve, pour liquid into individual cups with a cinnamon stick and a pat of butter.
NOTE: Can be kept hot in a crock pot. An orange studded with while cloves makes a tasty addition.
