Category: Dressing and Stuffing
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

2 chickens, boiled, reserving broth
1 1/2 loaves bread, torn up overnight and left out to get stale
1/2 cup butter
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
6 eggs, beaten
1 pkg crackers, crushed
Salt, pepper and sage, to taste
1 can cream of mushroom and chicken soups
Broth
Oysters

Sauté vegetables in butter. Mix with remaining ingredients. Be sure to add enough broth to make this thin, because it will be very dry if enough broth isn’t added. Bake at 385 or until dressing is pulling away from the pan. (Note: reserve chicken for other uses.)
