6 tbsp butter
6 tbsp oil
1 1/2 cup chopped onions
1 1/2 cups chopped celery
6 to 8 slices bread
3 tbsp minced parsley
Salt and pepper
3/4 tsp thyme
3/4 tsp sage
3/4 tsp marjoram
3/4 tsp oregano
1/2 cup chopped oysters
2 eggs, lightly beaten

Melt butter in skillet; add oil, onions and celery. Cook, covered, until onions are soft but not browned. Crumble bread into large bowl; add just enough water to moisten bread. Stir in onion mixture, parsley, seasonings, oysters and eggs; mix well. Spoon into greased casserole. Bake at 400 until top is browned.
