Wined Teriyaki Strips
2 large flank steaks
1 cup dry white wine
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons minced onion
1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons brown sugar or honey
10 1/2 ozs. canned beef broth
1 inch gingerroot piece, crushed
Slice steaks diagonally across grain into 1/4 X 1 inch strips. Place in large bowl. Mix wine, soy sauce, onion, garlic, lemon juice, brown sugar, broth and gingerroot.
Pour over meat and marinate 1 hour, turning 3 or 4 times. Thread on skewers and grill over coals until done as desired.
Yields 30 to 40 skewers.
