2 lbs ground chuck
2 medium onions, sliced
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup burgundy
1 egg
1 cup fresh bread crumbs

Burgundy Sauce
1/4 cup burgundy
2 smaller green onions, sliced
1/2 cup butter

Prepare grill for hot coals. Combine burger ingredients and shape into 8 patties. Combine sauce ingredients.

Adjust grill to 4 inches from hot coals and grill burgers 8-10 minutes on each side, being careful not to turn to often to prevent them from breaking apart. Baste frequently with sauce. Heat remainder of sauce to a boil and serve with burgers on toasted buns.
