  • 1 can (12 ounce size) evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese (not pre-shredded)
  • white pepper

Heat the evaporated milk in a saucepan over medium heat. When hot, stir in the Parmesan cheese and mix until the cheese has fully melted and the sauce has thickened.

Season to taste with white pepper (salt can be added as well but Parmesan cheese is salty so taste the sauce before adding it).

Toss with pasta or use in any recipe calling for Alfredo sauce.
