  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly, and let cook for 3 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and let the icing cool until thick enough to spread.
