Beef Stroganoff

- 2 1/2 pounds boneless beef chuck or round steak
- salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup water
- 3 tablespoons white wine
- 1/3 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup sour cream
- cooked egg noodles
Season the beef liberally with the salt and pepper. Place in the bottom of the crock pot. In a bowl, whisk together the garlic, Worcestershire, beef stock, and ketchup. Pour over the beef. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4 hours or until the beef is tender. Turn the heat to high. Whisk together the flour and water. Stir into the crock pot. Mix well. Add the mushrooms and wine. Stir. Cover the crock pot and cook on high heat for 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Stir well then stir in the sour cream. Serve the beef stroganoff hot over cooked egg noodles.
