Category: Misc & Substitutes
Prep Time:       Cook Time:       Total Time:

1 cup milk
2 Tbsp cornstarch

1. To replace 1 cup (237 mL) of heavy cream, add 2 tablespoons (19 grams) of cornstarch to 1 cup (237 mL) of milk and whisk thoroughly.

Note
This lower-fat, lower-calorie substitute is best used in cooking. However, it may alter the texture of baked goods and will not whip as well as heavy cream.
