Chicken Wings Cacciatore Americano

Ingredients:

1 - 2 lb cut up chicken wings seasoned with salt and pepper
1 Whole sliced colore pepper ( orange is nice, or red, or yellow)
1 whole sliced sweet onion
1 cup white wine ( I use Sutter Home Moscato as it's slightly sweet, not DRY)
1 cup chicken stock + more if needed for a jus
1/4 cup olive oil for frying

Directions:

Heat oven to 325 degrees
Brown seasoned chicken wings in olive oil and remove from pan
Pour off most of remaining oil and sautee onions and peppers until tender
Add wine and cook for about 2 minutes too get rid of alcohol
Add chicken stock and heat.
I usually remove peppers and onions at this point in order to top wings.
Place wings in pan and top back with peppers and onion mixture.
If jus is not enough add more stock.
Place pan in oven and cook covered ( so jus doesn't dry out)
after about 30 - 45 min should be done. Time will depend on how done the chickeng were from frying
