7-Up Cake with Pistachio Frosting

This is one of those 1970's retro thingies that's probably about as healthy as the packaging it comes in, but it's one of my hubby's favorite cakes, so I'm keeping the recipe. On the other hand, it tastes good and it's very easy to make.

For the cake:

1 white cake mix (old ones are a little bigger, so if you can find an 18-oz, good luck)
1 pkg. pistachio instant pudding
1 stick butter
3 eggs
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. lemon-lime soft drink

Mix all ingredients and bake 45 minutes or until done at 350 degrees.

For the frosting:

1 pkg. pistachio instant pudding
1 c. milk
1 lg. container whipped cream-like topping

Mix together and let set for a while, then spread on cake.
