*served wonderfully with sausage gravy for biscuits n gravy.

2 c. flour
1 tbsp. Sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. whipping cream, light, or milk
1 tbsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. butter

Preheat oven to 450 degrees/

In a medium size mixing bowl, stir together the flour, baking pwder, sugar, cream of tartar, and salt. Using a pastry blender or knife, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles pea sized particles. Make a well in the center of the mixture. Add the milk all at once. Using a fork, stir the mixture until moistened. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface. knead the dough 10-12 times. Lightly roll the dough into 1/2 inch thickness. Cut dough with pizze cutter of biscuit cutter. Cut into squares. Place on making sheet (ungreased). Placew in over and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or till a light golden brown. Remove and serce hot.


makes 10 to 12 biscuits.
