2 pounds ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1-2 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, diced
1 can diced green peppers
1 can tomatoes with chili peppers
1 jar hot taco sauce
2 cans refried beans
12 (8") flour tortillas
red pepper flakes
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Saute ground beef, onion, garlic, and jalapeno pepper. Drain. Add green chili peppers, tomatoes, taco sauce and beans. Mix well and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. In alternate layers put a thin layer of meat mixture in the bottom of a baking dish. Put a layer of tortillas over the meat, then put a layer of cheese over the tortillas. Repeat the process until all the tortillas have been used. You should end with a cheese top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. Spinkle red pepper flakes on top of cheese, immediately after removing from oven.
