  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 2/3 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup flour

  • yellow food coloring (optional)
  • nutmeg

Mix sugar and flour together. Heat cream and add sugar mixture and cook until slightly thickened. Add butter, coloring and vanilla and pour into unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle lightly with nutmeg.
