  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 ounce size) pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package (3.5 ounce size) sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 2-quart baking dish.

Cook the pasta as directed on the package until al dente. Drain well.

Meanwhile, brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the meat is cooked and the onion is soft. Drain off any excess grease.

Stir in the pizza sauce, cooked pasta, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, and salt and mix well. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish.

Place the baking dish in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until bubbly in the middle.

Serve hot.
