Easy Ground Beef Soup

- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 quarts water
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 2 cans (15 ounce size) tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 3 cans (15 ounce size) mixed vegetables, drained
Heat a stock pot over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, stirring, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain off any excess grease. Add the water and onion to the stock pot. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes then stir in the mixed vegetables. Cook the ground beef soup for 5 more minutes then serve.
