* Quick Caramel Apple Sticky Buns *

6 granny smith apples, peeled and finely diced
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup prepared caramel sauce
1 can Pillsbury Grands Cinnamon Buns
In a large sauce pan, combine the diced apples, butter, sugar, and cinnamon. Cook until the apples are softened and the sauce is thick and sticky (about 10-12 minutes). Stir in the caramel sauce. Place apple mixture in the bottom of a 9" round baking dish. Arrange Pillsbury grands cinnamon rolls on top. Cook according to package instructions. Let rest 5 minutes before inverting the sticky buns. Drizzle additional caramel sauce on top, if desired.
Note: I added chopped pecans to the apple mixture.
