4 lbs pork spareribs
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup dry sherry and honey
1/2 tsp ground white pepper
1 clove garlic, pressed
1 tbsp Sweet & Sour Sauce
1 tbsp apricot jam
Cut ribs into 2 to 3-rib portions, place in large shallow foil-lined baking pan. Thoroughly combine soy sauce, sherry, honey, pepper and garlic, brush both sides of ribs with portion of mixture and place ribs, meaty side down. Cover pan tightly with foil. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
Discard foil, brush ribs with sauce mixture. Turn ribs over, brush again with sauce mixture. Bake 30 minutes longer, or until ribs are tender, brushing with remaining sauce mixture every 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, blend sweet & sour sauce and jam. Remove ribs to serving platter and brush with jam mixture to glaze.
