2-3 lb chicken
1/2 cup olive oil and soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar and grated gingerroot
1/3 cup water
1/2 cup chopped green onions
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp dry mustard and pepper

Quarter chicken. Rinse and dry. Place into a large plastic bag.

Make marinade by combining remaining ingredients and pour over the chicken. Seal the bag tightly, turn to coat chicken well. Marinate in refrigerate 3-4 hours. Remove chicken, reserve marinade for basting.

Place chicken on grill, bone-side down over a drip pan. Cover and grill 50-60 minutes, or until tender. Brush frequently with marinade the first 30 minutes of cooking.

Variation: Can use on boneless, skinless chicken breasts and just marinade 2 hours. Grill 4-5 inch from medium-hot coals for 15 minutes. Turning and basting with marinade.
