1 1/3 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
13/4 cups flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp instant coffee granules
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Beat together the brown sugar and oil in a large mixing bowl. Mix in the sour cream, egg, and vanilla.

In another bowl, mix together the flour, cocoa, instant coffee, baking soda, salt, and pepper. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix well. Chill 3-4 hours until firm.

Preheat oven to 350. Add the confectioners sugar into a pie plate and set aside. Take sections of dough about an inch big and roll into balls. Roll in the confectioners sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheets for 10-12 minutes until firm to the touch. Cool on racks.
