2 lbs yellow squash
1 medium onion, chopped
Salt to taste
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1 cup grated cheddar cheese, optional
1/2 stick butter
1 carrot grated
1 pkg Pepperidge Farm dressing mix

Cook squash and onion and salt in water until tender. Drain. Mix sour cream and soup well. Add carrot, squash to soup mixture. Melt butter. Mix butter with Pepperidge Farm. Line bottom of greased casserole with half the dressing. Pour in squash mixture, top with remaining dressing. Bake 20 minutes at 350.
