BAKED FRENCH TOAST

4 tablespoons margarine
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 slices French bread, cut in 1 1/2-inch slices
4 eggs
2/3 cup milk

Melt margarine in 9-by-9-inch pan. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle half of mixture in bottom of pan. Place bread into pan. Sprinkle bread with remaining sugar mixture. Beat eggs and milk together. Pour over bread. Refrigerate at least 8 hours. Bake in preheated 350-degree oven for 35 to 50 minutes. Serve with warm syrup. Makes 4 servings.
