1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced
8 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp cornstarch
4 cups pea pods
2 tbsp water
3 tbsp soy sauce and Chinese barbecue (Sa Tsa) sauce
1 tbsp sugar and soy sauce or cooking wine

Blend 1 tbsp of the vegetable oil, 1/2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp cornstarch with sliced beef to prevent meat from sticking during frying.

In a wok or large skillet, heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil. Briefly stir-fry pea pods and water; remove from wok or skillet and keep warm.

To the hot wok, add 2 additional tablespoon vegetable oil. Add beef and stir-fry to desired tenderness. Drain the oil. Add mixture of soy sauce, barbecue sauce and sugar; stir and mix well. Place over fried pea pods and serve. Serves 4
