1/2 pound bacon, chopped
2 cups thinly sliced onions
Freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup Creole mustard
1/2 head white cabbage, shredded (about 1 1/2 pounds)
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 Turbo Dog Beer
1/4 cup heavy cream
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, render the bacon until crispy. Add the onions. Season with pepper. Saute until the onions are soft, about 4 minutes. Add the mustard and cabbage. Season with salt and pepper. Saute for 3 minutes. Add the garlic, and beer, cover and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the cream, stir to mix and cook, covered for 10 minutes. Serve warm. Serves 8
