1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate-covered peanuts
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375. Beat first 5 ingredients in a large bowl until creamy. Stir in dry ingredients, mixing well. Fold in peanuts and chips. Drop dough by rounded tbspfuls about 2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10-12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets to wire racks to cool completely.
