2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground celery seeds
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp finely ground black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
2 cup tomato ketchup
1/4-1/3 cup apple cider vinegar, to taste
2 Tbsp. yellow mustard
2 tsp liquid smoke
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
Dump all ingredients together in a medium, non-reactive saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring often. Simmer over low heat for 20-30 minutes, until slightly thickened. Cool slightly and serve.
