ALMOND JOY PIE

2/3 cup sliced almonds
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup coconut
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
1/4 cup light corn syrup
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 unbaked 9 inch pastry shell

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Sprinkle almonds on ungreased baking sheet; bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until browned & set aside.

Combine butter, coconut, sugar, cocoa, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, salt and almonds. Pour into pastry shell. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes until set.
