SAUSAGE SURPRISE

1 tube hot sausage
2 (5 oz) cans mushroom pieces, drained
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, softened
2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
1 egg, beaten
Sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 375. Cook sausage and drain. Add mushrooms and diced cream cheese and stir until combined.

Unroll the dough and place rectangles, 2 attached triangles, onto wax paper. Each can makes 4 rectangles. Pinch together the seams connecting the triangles.

Lightly roll a rolling pin over each rectangle to make it a little longer and wider. Place a strip of sausage mixture down the center of each rectangle and fold sides over sausage mixture to make a log.

Place 8 logs onto cookie sheet, folded sides down. Brush with egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds on top. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until crust is brown.

Using a sharp serrated knife, cut each log into 5 pieces. Serve warm.
