20 Italian sausages
4 large peppers, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (12 oz) can tomato paste
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
4 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano and salt
20 buns
Shredded cheese, your choice

In a large Dutch oven, brown sausages a few at a time; discard all but 2 tbsp drippings. Saute peppers and onion in drippings until crisp-tender; drain. Return sausages to pan along with remaining ingredients up to the buns. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on but and top with cheese.
