1 baked 9 inch pie crust, cooled
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cu sugar
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening
2 pints strawberries, stemmed
Fresh blueberries or blueberry pie filling

In a bowl, beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add sugar and almond extract; blend well. Fold in whipped topping; spoon into pie crust and chill.

Melt chocolate chips and shortening, stirring frequently until smooth. Dip pointed ends of strawberries into melted chocolate to cover half of strawberry. Set stems on waxed paper. Chill until chocolate sets.

Arrange chocolate dipped strawberries on top of chilled filling, leaving a 1 1/2 inch space around outer edge of pie. Place blueberries or pie filling around outer edge of pie.
