2 tbsp olive oil
3 medium onions, halved and sliced
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/8 tsp cinnamon and chilli powder
1 cup water
Salt and pepper, to taste

Heat the Oil in a saucepan. Add the onions. Cook until lightly brown. Add the remaining ingredients. Mix well and slowly bring to boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 8 minutes. Serve warm. Store covered in refrigerator. Makes about 1 1/2cups
