4 (1-inch-thick) center-cut pork chops
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sherry
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
Dash ground ginger

Trim excess fat from pork chops, and place chops in a large shallow container. Combine remaining ingredients, stirring well; pour over chops. Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 8 hours, turning frequently.

Remove chops from marinade, reserving marinade. Grill chops over medium coals 15 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Baste frequently with marinade.
