COWBOY BBQ CHICKEN DRUMS

6 chicken legs
1 tbsp canola oil
1/4 cup ketchup and finely minced onion
1 1/2 tbsp hot pepper sauce
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp dried mustard
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Sliced peppers salad (optional)

Prepare outdoor grill for cooking or preheat broiler.

Rub chicken with oil; set aside. In small saucepan, combine ketchup, onion, pepper sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, thyme, ground pepper and garlic.

Place chicken on cooking surface of grill over medium-hot coals or on broiler pan. Grill or broil 15 to 25 minutes, turning 2 to 3 times.

Place saucepan on grill or stove top to heat sauce. During last 5 minutes of grilling, baste chicken liberally with sauce, turning frequently to avoid burning. Serves 3
