1 (16 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate, divided
3/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup white chocolate chunks or coarsely chopped white baking chocolate
2 cup chopped macadamia nuts

Preheat oven to 350. Coarsely chop 1 pkg of chocolate. Set aside.

Melt remaining chocolate in a saucepan over a double boiler, stirring until melted and smooth. Stir in next 4 ingredients until combined. Add dry ingredients. Stir in reserved chocolate and nuts. Bake 12 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel soft to touch.

Allow to cool 1 minutes before removing cookies to wire racks to cool. NOTE: If omitting nuts, increase flour to 3/4 cup to prevent spreading.
