TEXAS CHILI

Category: Chili

2 lbs coarsely ground chuck or round
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 clove garlic, minced
1 (10 oz) can tomatoes with green chilies
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (1 oz) pkg chili seasoning
2 tbsp packed brown sugar
1 tsp oregano, ground cumin and pepper
Sliced green onion, garnish

Brown first 3 ingredients; drain. Stir in remaining ingredients except garnish and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add water or beef broth if it gets to thick. Garnish with green onion. Serves 4-6
