1 (9-inch) refrigerated pie shell
1 1/2 cups torn fresh spinach
Crumbled cooked bacon, to taste
Grated cheese of your choice, to taste (I used fontina)
Chopped onion or scallions, to taste
3/4 tsp seasoned salt
4 large eggs
2 cups heavy (whipping) cream
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp dried parsley flakes
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Preheat oven to 425. Lightly coat a pie plate with cooking spray. Unfold pastry and place on pie plate, crimp edges. Line the pastry with the spinach, layer bacon, cheese and onion. Sprinkle with the seasoned salt.

Beat the eggs lightly in a medium bowl; beat in the cream and the remaining ingredients. Pour into the pan. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven temp to 300 and bake an additional 30 minutes. Place foil around edges and tent over top if necessary during the last 10 to 12 minutes of baking. Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serve in wedges.
