1 round steak, 1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1/4 tsp garlic salt
3 tbsp shortening
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tbsp parsley flakes

Cut steak into serving pieces and pound to 1/4 inch thickness. Combine flour and seasonings and dredge steak in mixture; shaking off excess. Brown meat in shortening and pour off drippings. Add water and onions. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle with cheese and parsley. Cover and simmer an additional 2-3 minutes. Serves 4-6
