2 eggs, separated
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp amaretto
1 cup coconut
1/2 cup ground nuts
1 box butter cake mix with pudding
2 eggs
2-4 tsp water
1 cup sour cream

Glaze
1 cup confectioners sugar
2 tbsp cocoa
3/4 cup amaretto
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp butter, softened
1 tbsp corn syrup

2 tsp ground nuts
6 maraschino cherries

Preheat oven to 350. Generously grease a tube pan with shortening. In a small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add brown sugar and beat until stiff peaks form, about 3 minutes. Fold in coconut and ground nuts. Spread meringue on bottom and sides of pan to within 1 inch of top of pan.

In a large bowl, blend reserved yolks, cake mix and remaining cake ingredients and beat on low speed until moistened. Beat 2 minutes on high and pour batter evenly into pan. Bake 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool upright in pan for 10 minutes. Loosen sides and invert onto serving plate. Cool completely

Prepare glaze by combine ingredients in a small bowl until smooth. Spoon over top of cake, allowing some of it to run down sides of cake. Sprinkle with nuts and garnish with cherries.
