2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Filling
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup flour
Glaze
1 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp shortening
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
In a mixing bowl, combine first 4 ingredients. Add nex t 3 ingredients; beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased 13x9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until done.
Filling: Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl. Add milk and vanilla extract; mix well. Spread over the brownies, chill until firm.
Glaze. Melt chips and shortening in a saucepan, stirring until smooth. Spread over filling. Immediately sprinkle with nuts, pressing down slightly.
