4 oz semi-sweet chocolate
1 cup plus 2 tbsp sifted flour
1/2 tsp baking soda and salt
3 1/2 tsp instant powdered espresso
1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
4 tbsp kahlua
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped pecans

Kahlua Glaze, recipe follows

Melt chocolate; stirring until smooth; set aside and cool slightly.

Generously grease and 8 inch square pan, then line the bottom and sides of the pan with foil. Grease foil.

Combine dry ingridents; mix well.

Cream together butter and sugars until light. Add egg and peat well. Mix in 2 tbsp kahlua, vanilla and melted chocolate. Add the flour mixture and mix just enough to blend completely.

Stir in chocolate pieces and nuts. Spoon into prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a rack. When cool, loosen the edges of the brownie, and invert the pan onto a plate, shaking to loosen. Peel away the foil.

Prick the bottom of the brownie at 1 1/2 inch intervals and sprinkle with remaining kahlua. Pouring slowly around the edges, and being carful it does not slide onto the concaved center.

All the brownie to sit, covered with foil, at least 4 hours. Spread glaze over brownie. Allow brownie to sit until glaze is set before cutting.

Kahlua Glaze
5-6 tsp kahlua
1/2 cup confectioners sugar

Combine ingredients; mixing well.
