4 (4 oz) beef eye round steaks
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt and pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves, divided
Vegetable oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp chopped parsley
In a bowl, mash garlic and salt to form a paste. Combine pst with 1/4 tsp thyme and pepper. Press mixture into both sides of beef steaks. Heat skilled over medium heat. Brush pan lightly with oil. Add steaks and pan broil 8-10 minutes, turning once. Move steaks to one side; add mushrooms and cook in butter during last 2-3 minutes. Stir in parsley and remaining thyme. Sarve steaks across the grain into thin slices. Serve sliced steak with mushrooms.
